| | | The Windsor Garden Club is pleased to announce the award of its annual educational scholarship to Samantha G. Dehais, a June graduate of Windsor High School. Samantha will be attending Drexel University in Philadelphia where she will be studying Material Science and Engineering and earn a master’s degree in five years. She plans to develop environmentally-friendly/sustainable, innovative fibrous materials that use smart technologies and renewable energy.
Samantha received the scholarship at the June 13th meeting of the Windsor Garden Club. After the award presentation, Samantha discussed her college major with the Club and answered questions about her future plans. The outdoor gathering was well attended by Garden Club members and guests as well as Samantha’s parents, Mary and John Dehais.

One of the Windsor Garden Club’s resolutions is to award a scholarship each year to a deserving Windsor student. The scholarship is funded through the Club’s annual sale of plants at its Garden Mart in May. Thanks to the many dedicated and hardworking club members, and to all the enthusiastic townspeople who attend our fundraisers and make this scholarship possible.
