About Us

About Us
The Windsor Garden Club is a group of nearly 100 garden and nature enthusiasts in Windsor.

Our mission and purpose is to promote an interest in gardening, wild plant life, trees, civic beautification and environmental issues. Through community outreach, education, gardening, and events, we bring our mission to life in Connecticut's first town.

Each year, we host a public Spring Garden Mart on the town green, present a scholarship to a Windsor high school senior, host a spring seed planting activity for local second graders, and care for a historic garden at the Windsor Historical Society. You can read more about these events in detail at the links below.

Our members range from all ages and all levels of gardening experience. We are a friendly group, with many members returning to join us for decades.

We are not all Windsor residents, either! We continue to accept members from our surrounding towns if they are interested!

Our formal monthly meetings occur on the second Monday of February through April and September through November at the Windsor Senior Center within the L.P. Wilson Community Center, 599 Matianuck Avenue, Windsor, CT.

Our formal meetings typically include a speaker presentation and a club business meeting.

In the late spring and summer months (May-August), our meetings occur at rotating member homes and gardens and are social meetings with no formal agenda. Please check our calendar and social media pages for our meeting details.
